Opinions and Suggestions on baby boy names?

Ok so Im going to be an uncle from my wife's side for the first time in about a week's time. We are all South African. The father of the baby boy is an Afrikaner and the mother is (English speaking) South African. They asked my wife and me for the naming but both of us are (English speaking) South Africans. They asked us for opinions and other suggestions. Frankly I cant think of suggestions for other names because I dont know many Afrikaans names. The list they have so far is

Andre is the sorta name youd expect really cool kids to have, i like that one, hed be popular. but after all its their baby!!
I like all of the names because they are names that most people wouldnt use. Which makes it an orignal name.

Stephan - like it

Morne - not so much, sounds "mournful" to me

Jannie - little girly (again, it would be in US)

Johan - this is prolly my fave

Charl - like it, especially as a middle name to any of the other ones I like.

Andre - Ok, sounds more French than anything else.

Stephan- very cute, I think it's not used too much, but isn't too out there to the point where he would get made fun of.



Morne- Very unique, might get made fun of



Jannie- Cute, and unique.. But I see it as more of a girl name



Johan- Could be used as a middle name, cute.



Charl- I guess it could work, not my favorite though.



Andre- I would use it as a middle name if i used it.



I think A good name would be Stephan Johan or Stephan Andre!
